Spell Tracer

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Last updated: August 14, 2026

1. Overview

Spell Tracer is a word game. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it is handled.

The game does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, or other personal contact details. We aim to collect only what is necessary to run the game, keep it stable, and improve it.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

Spell Tracer has no sign-up and no login. It does not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, location, or microphone. Your game progress and coin balance are stored on your device.

b) Usage and diagnostics data

To understand how the game is played and to keep it working, the app automatically collects:

This data is tied to a random, app-generated identifier — not to your name, email, or Apple ID.

For advertising, the app may also use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice. See "5. Advertising" below.

c) Purchases

When you make an in-app purchase in Spell Tracer, the payment is processed by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your card number or full payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate and record the purchase so the game can grant what you bought. Coins are added to the balance stored on your device.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

4. Analytics and Diagnostics

We use Google Firebase (Google Analytics for Firebase, and Crashlytics for crash diagnostics) to understand how the app is used and to keep it stable. These tools may collect usage patterns, device data, and interactions with the app.

5. Advertising

Spell Tracer displays third-party ads served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads). To show ads and measure how they perform, the app and Google may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and related ad data.

On Apple devices this is governed by Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, the advertising identifier is used to show personalized ads and for cross-app measurement. If you decline, ads are still shown, but they are not personalized using the identifier. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Google/AdMob is an independent advertising partner that processes this data under its own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy and its how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services page.

6. No AI and No Server-Stored Content

Spell Tracer does not send your gameplay to any AI service, and it does not store your game content on our servers. Your progress and coin balance live on your device.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the game:

These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their functions, and are contractually required to protect it and use it solely to provide those services to us — consistent with this policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Spell Tracer is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

9. Data Retention and Your Rights

You can stop all further collection at any time by deleting the app from your device, which also removes the game progress and coin balance stored on it. Usage and diagnostic data held by our analytics providers is retained according to their standard retention policies and is then deleted or anonymized.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, or deletion of, the limited diagnostic data associated with your device's random identifier. To make a request, contact us at the address below.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can be completely secure.

11. International Use

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
